About The Role
As a lead Software Engineer at the Pinecone Core Engine team, you will be a major part of the development of the vector database and contribute on the following areas:
Cutting edge technology based database architecture
Design efficient and optimized data computing
Develop a state of the art SaaS service using the most advanced tools and infrastructure
You will work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment that demands the highest quality work with minimal supervision. And as we all do a little bit of everything, you will also be a strong generalist, work directly with customers, and mentor engineers.
What we look for:
A passion for technology
5+ years of experience with a systems programming language like C/C++/Rust/Go
5+ years of experience with designing and developing high performance systems
BS in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent experience
Strong foundations in databases and operating systems
Bonus Points:
Experience with Rust programming
Experience with SSE/AVX
Expertise working with one of AWS/GCP/Azure cloud platforms
Knowledge and experience in distributed systems and micro-services architecture
