Who can start the trial?
An org owner or billing admin, from Billing in the Pinecone console. If that isn't you, send this page to your org's owner.
Do I pay anything to start?
No. The trial needs no up-front payment. When it ends, adding a payment method keeps you on Standard.
What does Standard cost after the trial?
A $50 monthly minimum. Usage past that is pay as you go, at the unit prices on the pricing page.
What happens when the trial ends?
Pinecone reminds you before it ends. After 21 days, or once the $300 is used, add a payment method to stay on the Standard plan, move to Enterprise, or go back to Starter. Until you choose, quotas are blocked. The Standard plan trial guide covers what a downgrade deletes.
Is my org eligible?
Orgs on Starter or Builder can start it. Each org gets one trial. Orgs already on Standard or Enterprise can't start one. Neither can orgs that signed up through a cloud marketplace.
I'm on Builder. Do I keep paying $20 a month during the trial?
No. Pinecone doesn't charge the $20 Builder fee while the Standard trial runs. To go back to Builder afterward, the org has to fit Builder's limits, with backups deleted and Standard-only features such as import and single sign-on turned off.
